Kalingayan Odia Cultural Society <\/u><\/h1>

Kalingayan identifies to the Odia community having the intensions to enhance the dignity of humanity, society and culture. It sharply means that to be a good human begins, to make a good society and to explore its own cultural expenditions. The recorded history of Odisha began in the third century B.C with the invasion of Ashoka into Kalinga. Kalinga during time had a territory extended frome Ganga in North to the river Rishikulya in the South. The history of Odisha also began with the Mauryan rule over Kalinga in the ancient Odisha. According to two Rock Edicts of Ashoka found at Dhuli, near the Rock Edict. From that period, the modern Odisha was identified as Kalinga. So, simply Kalinga means Odisha and Yana means people of that territory.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

Kalingayan, Odia Cultural Society, Shalimar Garden, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad celebrated Sri Sri Ganesh Puja every year. Organizing Puja in this area is not a simple task as the number of Odia families in and around Shalimar Garden and Dilshad Garden, Delhi are very small in number. However, with a great pleasure and cooperation of you all, we made it great success<\/p>\n
